1. What are Aerial bundled cables?

Aerial bundled cables (also aerial bundled conductors or simply ABC) are overhead power lines using several insulated phase conductors bundled tightly together, usually with a bare neutral conductor. This contrasts with the traditional practice of using uninsulated conductors separated by air gaps. This variation of overhead power lines utilizes the same principles as bundled conductors, except that they are closer together to the point of touching but each conductor is surrounded by an insulating layer (except for the neutral line).

2. What is the difference between high voltage overhead transmission line and high voltage power cable?

Transmission capacity and transmission distance of transmission line are related to voltage. The higher line voltage is, the longer the transmission distance. The circuit and the system voltage should be determined according to the distance and the capacity of the transmission.

3. PROVISIONS ON THE LAYING OF OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINES?

High voltage overhead transmission line of stope section shall not be less than 35mm2, low voltage overhead transmission line section shall not be less than 25mm2.
Transmission and distribution lines on the edge and buildings or structures recently part of the horizontal distance, the bias of the maximum wind, should meet the following requirements:
(a) the line voltage is less than or equal to 10kV, the horizontal distance is greater than or equal to 2m.
(b) 10kV< line voltage ≤ 110kV, the horizontal distance is greater than or equal to 4m.

4. What is AAC OVERHEAD BARE CONDUCTOR?

AAC Conductor is also known as aluminium stranded conductor.It constructed with a straight round central aluminum wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically laid aluminium wires. The most commonly used stranding consists of 7, 19, 37, 61 and 91 wires.In all constructions, the successive layers shall have opposite directions of lay, the outermost layer being right-handed.

5. What is ACSR Conductor?

ACSR (ALUMINIUM CONDUCTORS STEEL REINFORCED)are composed by bare concentric-lay-stranded aluminium wires with a straight round central steel reinforced wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically layed aluminium wires. They are formed by several wires of Aluminum and galvanized steel, stranded in concentric layers. The wire conductors are made of galvanized steel and the external layers are aluminum. Galvanized steel core consist normally of 1, 7 or 19 wires.

6. What is AAAC BARE OVERHEAD CONDUCTOR?

AAAC Bare Overhead Conductor(All Aluminium Alloy Conductor) is made of high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy. Jiapu Cable can manufacture AAAC bare conductor with different variants of electrical grade alloy type 6101 and 6201.

8. COVERED CONDUCTOR Construction

Covered conductors consist of stranded hard drawn aluminum conductors with either one, two or three extruded layers depending on the voltage rating. Covered conductors are available in black or gray depending on visual preference. In a Covered Aerial MV System (formerly called Spacer Cable), spacers hold three MV phase conductors in close approximation. The spacers are suspended from a high-strength messenger wire. Covered Aerial MV (CAMV) cable itself is a single aluminum conductor protected by a layer of track-resistant polyethylene.

9. How to connect with different section copper core cable?

Different sections copper core cable connection, can adopt the opening weak backing copper pipe, connected by tin welding, also use pure copper bar according to the different section requirements connected to copper pipe, connected by the crimping method.
